Veikkausliiga 2013 top players
Ok, I am bored a bit and as requested I might complete here a list of best - and/or most improved and surprising players of the season. Two months to go of the season. No players from TPS, MyPa, Inter or JJK at least there yet.
Keepers
Defenders
Midfielders
Strikers
****
To be updated whenever inspiration arises and there is time. Maybe.
No list can be very fair and anything above is useful for entertainment´s sake.
Several quality players are missing from that list. Some I have forgotten, some I have not seen often enough.
Biggest disappointments of the season
Managers of the season

Veikkausliiga odds for Aug 21st
Transfers, injuries and suspensions here and there. Might create some market action. No lack of motivation anywhere just yet as no one is safe - or has won anything.

Tervarit - GBK 10 13 77
o/u 2.5: 76 24
The home side's situation is almost hopeless and the visitors are practically safe from relegation so in betting terms this is as unappealing as it gets. Luckily, live is available and that's an option I'll gladly take. Tervarit has been in an rollercoaster form recently, on one side they have a handful of respectable losses (PS Kemi) and draws (Kerho 07 and TP-47), with the PS Kemi game being their highest point because as strange as it sounds Kemi was actually quite lucky to take that 0-1 win. On the other side, teams such as VIFK, PK-37 and FC YPA have administered heavy beatdowns on Tervarit, so it's quite literally a hit or miss with them when it comes to their performances. Player situation is still very fluid for Tervarit to put it kindly, but most of the time there hasn't been that huge of a correlation between who's on the field and what the result is. GBK bounced back nicely from a weak visit to Tornio when they beat YPA last week. While the win was probably deserved in terms of chances created, there was and still is a huge controversy surrounding the refereeing decisions in that particular game (YPA had three men sent off, with one of them having only one yellow card before being shown red). GBK has been playing well after the coaching change, and assuming the squad is the same as last week the class difference is obviously quite huge which is also reflected in the current European odds. To contradict the first sentence, -1,25 would be difficult to resist but anything higher than that is a big no until live. Total looks impossible to predict, based purely on statistics both are in the upper end of the total table which this time does quite accurately reflect what happens on the field too. However, especially in home team's case, the performances have fluctuated wildly; in their good days, which they have had surprisingly often in recent times, Tervarit can keep even the best of the best away from scoring opportunities, but the complete opposite of that has occurred more often. GBK scoring streak is still on, but they've also had some mysteriously low scoring games recently, with last week's YPA game being the most obvious example of that, so in pregame I'm not going to get involved with the total either.
