27.4.2018

Kakkonen 2018

Groups A & C start this weekend, Group B next.

Odds from local bookie below, some euro bookies have also offered something, but they have mixed up even some club names... Now local odds are not 100% correct, but in general "always" better than euro books.

As usual there will be some clubs who are more or less reserves of some teams, and there will be sudden market moves if and when there is info and players coming in from the first team.

MyPa/KTP
FCV/JJK
PKKU/FC Lahti
KuFu/KuPS
SJK2
JBK/Jaro

Lineups SJK - Kemi PS. Veikkausliiga 1/2018

A few surprises here as well, SJK have a completely new cb pair in Tikkanen - Vales.

Markets:

Lineups VPS vs Inter, Veikkausliiga round 1/2018

VPS without top attacking & mf players Vahtera, Morrissey and Lähde and have benched keeper Meerits, for a reason to be honest.

Inter miss long-term injured players and surprisingly also Garcia, Varmanen and Penninkangas.

Markets: rather steady at all bookies as Sportmarket shows, a bit of a drop at local.

Lahti vs JJK 6.3.2017 "cup"

A 100% friendly, except that all players need to be registered. Both clubs have more or less sucked the whole winter season but perhaps there is some light at Lahti?

1.1.2017

Finland football week 1/2017 preview

From now on the plan is to introduce the week of FIN football ahead on Mondays. It will not 100% guaranteed to be up to date - especially now on preseason - but the matches mentioned here will be the ones I place on Blogabet service. There will be cases when the match is not yet known on Monday but will be played over the weekend, but it does not matter in the big picture.

On year 2017 there will be +95 % FIN football only, hopefully 100%, in that case there would be only to blame and thank for the winning&losing picks. Me.

But a long story short, here are the fixtures for the week 1 in Finland:

7.1 NuPs vs Gnistan 12:00 CET

NuPs promoted to Kakkonen, Gnistan promoted from Kakkonen to Ykkönen. Indoors, 30 km distance. This very much depends on who plays - during Dec there were very little teams - but last summer this would has been some -2 ahc at the markets.

7.1. Ilves vs TPV 12:00 CET

A derby between league and Kakkonen, thus another -2 would be understandable. However for Ilves this is nothing, they will face SJK the following week and also start the cup later in Jan. I would field a lot of kids at Ilves if this was up to me. Indoors.

Edit: Ilves preview out, 5-6 best players out. Makes any big handicaps a stupid idea.

8.1. TamU vs Lahti Akatemia 17:15 CET

TamU who once were the champions have started their climb back from pub leagues after they got kicked off from FA leagues because of Perumal a few good years back. TamU will probably have a decent Kakkonen class side this year, of Lahti Akatemia one will never know beforehand as they are the reserves of the Lahti league team. Indoors.

Not yet the busiest of weeks, but there are some 70 fixtures in January and there will be a lot of gems out there, and there will be a plenty of live picks during the preseason. Already now I know that Ilves and TamU matches have been sold to live bet reporting services and will be somewhere available.

FIN clubs in Europe 2016

To be updated. Only HJK do have an easy opponent for the first round for sure, the others will be more or less in trouble.

The champions will face of these in the first (and last at the same time) round:

Group 3 seeded: Celtic (SCO), BATE Borisov (BLR), FC København (DEN), Rosenborg (NOR), Crvena zvezda (SRB), FH Hafnarfjördur (ISL)

End the draw gave BATE to SJK. Good luck and good bye SJK. About similar class Dinamo Minsk dropped MyPa 2014 with aggregate of 3-0 although it should had been about 10-0. Now SJK is a better club than MyPa was then, but there is quite a gap in class.

Last time FIN club was at Belarus was 2014 when Dinamo Minsk hosted MyPa. The 3-0 FT score was flattering the visitors strongly. Below stats chart from Soccerway:

Atlantas vs HJK

Shamrock Rovers vs RoPS

Odds BK vs MIFK

are the other fixtures. HJK should qualify, RoPS have a decent chance and MIFK.... well a tiny.

18.5.2016

May 19th

Yesterday was quiet in terms of matches, but there is a disaster about to be happening at one Veikkausliiga club. Personally I am giving them a chance to sort things out and publish it in their own time, there is no media coverage about it as FIN football media is rather useless. You will be updated.

*********

Today one Kakkonen match and one Women 's league and it is the one I will attend, HJK vs Honka.
