Kakkonen 2018

Groups A & C start this weekend, Group B next.

Odds from local bookie below, some euro bookies have also offered something, but they have mixed up even some club names... Now local odds are not 100% correct, but in general "always" better than euro books.

As usual there will be some clubs who are more or less reserves of some teams, and there will be sudden market moves if and when there is info and players coming in from the first team.

MyPa/KTP
FCV/JJK
PKKU/FC Lahti
KuFu/KuPS
SJK2
JBK/Jaro

20.4.2018

Veikkausliiga 21-22.4

It is getting busier, 4 of the clubs played on Wed, and as you well two days of rest between games is not enough for recovery.

Two of the new signings/loanees in Veikkausliiga are bigger than usual starts, both El Said (KuPS) and Gamal  (HJK) have more than 1 million followers in the social media.

Garcia returns. Inter have good attack, TPS does not.

SJK not rotating enough, Honka gotten a few important players back to squad - El Amrani, Kauffman and Obra, but still miss a few.

Last season's best keeper Vasjutin makes a comeback, Ilves missing natural left back.

HJK rotating half a squad, only big miss cb Obilor. KuPS complained about tiredness already last time, still not rotating enough.

Veikkausliiga 2.7.2017

VPS rotate a bit ahead of game in Ljublana, MIFK miss important pieces too, cb Lyyski, striker Kangaskolkka.

HJK better than expected, but still important Mosa and Tanaka out.

Busy Sunday

Another cup of coffee while waiting for lineups, and another...

Veikkausliiga April 14th

One match postponed. A few comments probably on match day after lineups are out.

17.4.2012

Veikkausliiga odds round 2 / 2012

Only moderate market moves. Totals have gone towards "under" because of early season, bad pitches and this time around all matches are on natural grass.

14.4.2011

Finnish Cup 7th round

The matches will be discussed in more detail in the Newsletter. Order your free copy from the right -------->

First odds out at Sbobet.

Edit: On Friday JJK won away at PK35 0-8 and IFK Mariehamn beat Honka 1-0. PK-35 were surprisingly popular in the markets all day but who am I to blame? Without the substitution of the gk the FT result might had been a bit narrower like 0-5,6 but the class difference was clear from the start.

Thursday´s Newsletter

Spartak Kajaani – Jaro 0-6 (0-1)

The only question in these kind of cup matches is the amount of goals, but surprises do not happen in the same scale than in bigger footballing countries - like all of yours actually - because teams below Kakkonen level are 99 % amateurish, and stand no chances against Veikkausliiga clubs.

VPS  - AC Oulu 3-1 (2-0)

According to the Oulu manager Juha Malinen VPS had fresher legs which showed as the worst period of Oulu football since last August after 30 minutes of play, and he is probably right. There were not too many changes in the line-up, but the defence of Oulu did not have their best day.

Latest cup results here

At Kakkonen Pallohonka thrashed Sinimustat 7-1. The visitors scored a dream goal on the first minute, but over all there was no question who was going to win. The players from the first team Honka win almost every ball and battle, and there is so much more skill and experience in them than in the regular Kakkonen level players that with this line-up they would get promoted.

The result lies a bit however, after the 3-1 goal Sinimustat took a stupid red card and the rest is just cosmetics. Most of the Honka players played full 90 minutes to get some valuabe match fitness, I was worried that they might get substituted sooner.
Kakkonen minutes of the match here with line-ups and so on, they are sometimes updated right away, sometimes it takes a week or two. 6 out the 7 goals were scored by the first team players.

Today I am driving to Hämeenlinna to see a cup match between Ykkönen side  Hämeenlinna and Veikkausliiga club Haka, it does have some local flavour and I am not expecting too much from either of the teams in their respective leagues, and the kick-off is already at 16.00 CET. I guess you have seen that I am not too crazy about cup matches, but this one will be in offer in asia at least in live-betting, and if the asian handicap is at least +0,75 or more  for Hämeenlinna I might be interested, Nordicbet offer 1.45 for a Haka straight win which is ridiculously low. It will be windy, and now it is snowing here 100 km south of Hämeenlinna. A  rough suggestion for this is to take Hämeenlinna + 0,75 @ 2.25 or Hämeenlinna + 1 @ 1.95 if that is the way they will be priced.

Haka is not a particularly good team this season, but it is one the few clubs who always take the cup seriously. For Hämeenlinna this is a dress rehearsal for the upcoming season at Ykkönen, last time around they were outplayed in a friendly at Lahti last week, Haka started their season with a 0-0 vs. TPS at home on Monday.

A no bet of course returns  a 100 ROI %. and I am not forcing myself to take bets I do want to take.  I will leave my decision at live, if the weather allows taking the laptop by the pitch which is probably not the case. The stadium is not covered.

The other two cup matches tonight are not that interesting, Boda - Ilves (1.35) and City Stars (1.90) - EIF, Ilves might very well be worth the price but I doubt there are handicaps or live betting available for these.

Ykkönen will also start properly this upcoming weekend and depending on the suggestions and insight from my colleagues from the northern parts of the country there may be picks and estimations, but as some of the  teams abilities are not yet known to me I can not promise a full round preview yet, I prefer checking some facts first.

That is all for today. I will be around to answer to emails until 13.00 CET today , otherwise I will get back to you tomorrow with a more detailed TamU - JJK preview for 18.00 CET kick-off, it will also get published here in the afternoon.

Crazy odds for SalPa at home against surprise package FC Espoo. Before the season it was expected that Salo is the better of these two.

Salo + 0.5 @ 2.05 SBOBET

I personally ate up some value in the game of

Kultsu - MP, but away team is still worth a bet.

MP - 1.50 @ 1.88 & over 1.25 goals on the 1st half @ 1.86 SBOBET.

Still wondering shoud I drive to Lahti tonight for the Eurocup game against Tirana, but I guess I rather go and play futsal myself. Healthier option!
