FIN week 2 review

No competitive matches yet, but it will change on week 3 when FIN cup group phase and U20 league will kick off.

As all of these are friendlies there is not much point to look at the result, expect perhaps from a betting point of view. A lot of matches were matches of two halves, a lot of substitutions were made. Mostly at half-time.

FIN nt won a game! Morocco at neutral ground, but that team is a b team who got lucky, and disposed in the next match vs Slovenia B.

HIFK tested a lot of youngsters who are not going to play this season in Veikkausliiga if ever, and their 2 goals were all down to KuPS keepers shaky hands.

Kultsu, Pepo and MiPK played a tournament with shorter playing time and a heavy schedule. We can ignore all those results.

EIF squad was a far cry of a Ykkönen one.

OPS at the moment, and at most of the moments, was a joke of a team. Managers 14 year old son played there too.

Fin u17 continue their tournament on Monday vs BLR, but more of the week in the next post.

Finland football week 1/2017 preview

From now on the plan is to introduce the week of FIN football ahead on Mondays. It will not 100% guaranteed to be up to date - especially now on preseason - but the matches mentioned here will be the ones I place on Blogabet service. There will be cases when the match is not yet known on Monday but will be played over the weekend, but it does not matter in the big picture.

On year 2017 there will be +95 % FIN football only, hopefully 100%, in that case there would be only to blame and thank for the winning&losing picks. Me.

But a long story short, here are the fixtures for the week 1 in Finland:

7.1 NuPs vs Gnistan 12:00 CET

NuPs promoted to Kakkonen, Gnistan promoted from Kakkonen to Ykkönen. Indoors, 30 km distance. This very much depends on who plays - during Dec there were very little teams - but last summer this would has been some -2 ahc at the markets.

7.1. Ilves vs TPV 12:00 CET

A derby between league and Kakkonen, thus another -2 would be understandable. However for Ilves this is nothing, they will face SJK the following week and also start the cup later in Jan. I would field a lot of kids at Ilves if this was up to me. Indoors.

Edit: Ilves preview out, 5-6 best players out. Makes any big handicaps a stupid idea.

8.1. TamU vs Lahti Akatemia 17:15 CET

TamU who once were the champions have started their climb back from pub leagues after they got kicked off from FA leagues because of Perumal a few good years back. TamU will probably have a decent Kakkonen class side this year, of Lahti Akatemia one will never know beforehand as they are the reserves of the Lahti league team. Indoors.

Not yet the busiest of weeks, but there are some 70 fixtures in January and there will be a lot of gems out there, and there will be a plenty of live picks during the preseason. Already now I know that Ilves and TamU matches have been sold to live bet reporting services and will be somewhere available.

PK-35 bankrupt

And very likely not taking part in any of the competitions in the near future, unless something unexpected happens of course.
