Lineups and odds July 13th: VPS vs PK-35

Notes for the match:

VPS started the season as a barcelonian ball control team, but expectedly they have noticed that they do not have the material for it they have returned to "if we lead let us park the bus" - strategy and it has worked.

PK-35 are the most overish team in the league. Partly because they have a good attack, but the biggest reason is that the goal keeper Kollar has failed. He is not a bad keeper, but there were unlucky goals in the start of the season and his confidence has weakened, so there is more or less one extra conceded goal to be expected every time home and away.

VPS have not impressed recently even if their results are good, for PK-35 it is about the opposite and they would had deserved something last round away at SJK but in the dying minutes Njazi Kuqi decided to hit a "panenka" from the penalty spot only to hit miss it.

Class-wise very even mid-table clubs as most of the clubs are at Veikkausliiga, the perfomances of Kollar keep me away from a big PK-35 bet even if I am very tempted. Total goals at o2.25 look attractive enough for a bet, but the big danger here is that VPS scores first. Even in that case they have a good counter attacking pair in Clennon and Soiri so worst case scenario looks like a half-loss.

Other attracting options for a bet are team totals for PK-35 and both to score if you have to access to that kind of stuff.

VPS changed 4 players from the last winning matches, PK-35 main absentee is cb Manev. Their new signing Khary on the bench but he is unlikely to make any difference.

VPS is even locally a semi-popular bet to win, but the analysis seem to based more or less on match results and the table as usual. Anyway it means that the odds are not going to move PK-35' s way today.

Lineups July 11th EIF vs KTP

KTP without Minkenen, Alekou, Salonen just like last week. Also top important midfielder McFaul has left the club, apparently to Indian league. Supposedly best striker Aalto starts from the bench. Last week' s home loss vs GrIFK was the first in charge for the ex-assistant manager Ossi Virta as the long-serving Ristilä got sacked. Virta does not have much to show from his CV, last season he managed to get SJK/2 relegated from Kakkonen, and there was a plenty of good material and that has to considered a failure.

EIF have a few missing players too, but all the most important ones are available.

This is a surprisingly big match for this early of the season, if KTP lose they will be in serious trouble for relegation and their goal was to return to Veikkausliiga. Rather safe to say it is not going to happen even if they win here today and narrow down the gap to the top.

With best possible lineups there would be no class difference, but KTP absentees, desperate coach change, leaving players, cash crisis, poor form and the crisis in general turn EIF here as clear favorites because they have a few individual players here who can win the match themselves even if there is not so clear domination to be found on the pitch. The situation at KTP looks actually similar to Inter Turku, except they KTP have also money problems to fight with.

We have gone against KTP also on previous rounds, this time their situation is again one step worse and they do deserve to be below the relegation line.

Weather is expected to be at least slightly rainy, but a few matches over the weekend got badly destroyed by heavy rain so we will see, and there is a .........
