Finland sunday 18:30 matches

Group C:

PK-37 - TP-47 32 25 43
o/u 2.5: 48 52

Odds look correctly set, team news are not available but TP-47 misses important Hakasalo and PK-37's questionable players Rönkkö and Lipponen did play against GBK on wednesday. In GBK game PK-37 again failed to capitalize a one-man advantage, this time by botching 0-2 lead, but they were probably happy with the draw as GBK were the more dominating side. TP-47 has picked lot of points lately, but they haven't been that impressive so I'm really on the edge whether the pk is playable. I placed a very small bet on TP-47, but it might be a good idea to check TP-47's lineup for possible missings or AC Oulu loans(edit: looks like they have no-one). Under is very appealing as both teams have quite solid defenses and are not known for their exciting style of play, but the odds for under are very very low.

GBK - FC YPA 36 23 41
o/u 2.5: 60 40

There's not much of a difference between these two quality-wise, but overall YPA has been a bit sharper and I've given them a slight edge. GBK probably misses Ebongue and their suspended goalkeeper Parpala, YPA should have a full squad available. YPA odds have been slashed so I wouldn't recommend them with the current odds, I played the over for a small stake, as GBK's famous defense hasn't been that good lately and YPA who probably has the best strikers in the group could easily exploit that, and the line of 2.75 is still relatively low.

Finland sunday edition

Kakkonen early morning match:

FC OPA - JBK 48 24 28
o/u 2.5: 52 48

Very important game for both teams. FC OPA still has some problems with injuries, the preview doesn't mention any names but I'd guess most of them have been out for a while. Jaro has a game today, and their preview states that Sara and Haanpää are out, so they won't probably strenghten JBK today. Despite their surprisingly good start, OPA has had problems lot of problems in actually winning their games as they've had really tough time in trying to create scoring chances, while JBK has been terrible lately if you just look at the results, but the reports tell that they haven't been outplayed that badly. I personally played JBK +0,5 and under 2.75, as I don't think there's that big of a difference between these two in terms of class(though the draw might need lot of extra) and both have had their fair share of problems with their scoring(in either converting or creating).

Finland Kakkonen saturday

Group C:

FC Santa Claus - VIFK 53 23 24
o/u 2.5: 54 46

Santa Claus has a couple of starters from defense out, VIFK has two important players out too(Maki, Lindroos). Santa Claus hasn't been in good form lately based on what I've read and seen, but they've still only lost one game this month. VIFK has been slightly better lately, with three games without a loss against some quite good teams. Santa Claus probably has an slight edge in the class despite what the preseason expectations were, and they finally get to play at home again(they've only player 5 games so far) so getting only +0,75 for VIFK isn't that exciting. Total smells very under-like, but Santa Claus is usually more high-scoring team at home so their recent form might not be a good indicator on what to expect.

FC Jyväskylä - KajHa 53 22 25
o/u 2.5: 58 42

FC Jyväskylä misses their starting goalkeeper Karnio and another important player Niko Kautto too, KajHa might get their main striker Tervo back. KajHa has been really poor at their away games, but to be honest they've faced some tough opposition mostly. FC Blackbird has been in excellent form lately for a team of their quality, but I don't know if there's enough difference between these two to play the 1.98 that is offered for the home team. KajHa has had some really low-scoring matches lately, but the match reports indicate that at least the matches against Santa Claus, VIFK and Kiisto really should have had much more goals than the 2 goals that were actually scored. After a disastrously bad defending at the start of the season, FCJ has really been a completely different team on that front recently, and the 2.75 line feels quite right overall.

I personally played both VIFK and FCJ small, but as my season has been really horrible so far, it might be best to make your own decisions based on the above&your own information.

Finnish clubs in Europe on Thursday

Shockingly poor match by TPS last night at Turku, and the winning goal for Cercle was just a matter of time. Honka lost also their lead with two late Bangor City goals and there is very little hope left for any european success. HJK, MyPa and Inter continue, but it would no surprise to see all of them knocked out vs. Partizan, Timisoara and Genk. MyPa  have to replay the away match vs. St Julia because it was suspended down to  bad weather at 80 min at 0-1, and it is a big blow for them and the AC Oulu - MyPa match scheduled on Sunday will be postponed.

HJK did qualify - Partizan awaits

Ekranas put up a good fight in  this nice and dramatic encounter. HJK`s Bah got a red card at 55th minute, but as Ekranas was satisfied in defending it did not really show that HJK had only 10 players.

Juhani Ojala finally headed in a corner at 77th minute and as Ekranas themselves could not get any closer than hitting the post it looked like that the deciding second goal was on its way, and a red card for Ekranas at the end of the match evened things up.

2-0 at 118 minute after a corner, an own goal but what can you do? A disappointment for the visitors who were so close, but the more positive approach was rewarded this time. UEFA live report here.

Ojala was really impressive, and the subs Zeneli and Pelvas brought in fresh legs.

Finland Kakkonen; GBK - PK-37

Edit: FT 2-2 (0-2)

Analysis provided by my Northern Finland expert contact.

GBK - PK-37 55 24 21
o/u 2.5: 44 56

Two teams with solid defenses and boring style of play meet each other so this has the potential to be a very low-scoring match. Now that Rönkkö's have gone cold, PK-37 has scored a whopping one goal in their last 5 matches, although according to the reports they've of course have had chances for more. Against Santa Claus PK-37 should have deserved much more than a one-goal loss, but after seeing Santa play against OPA it seems that Santa have perfected that style of play. 0-0 against Korsholm was a massive disappointment as the result was fully deserved. GBK isn't in hot form either, with a even 0-0 match against VIFK and a slightly unlucky 3-5 loss against FCV. Team news are unavailable at the moment, PK-37 had on the last match the very important P. Rönkkö out due to fever, another starting striker Lipponen was also out along with some probably not so important substitutes. GBK's Ebongue seems to be still out, but otherwise they should probably have a full squad available. Even if these two are tied on the standings, GBK is in my opinion at least a couple of steps above PK-37 in terms of quality, eurobookie odds suggest that GBK might be a small value. After last week or sunday it might be a good idea to start just blindly playing unders as long as the odds are still at the current level or something drastic happens(like at least a single goal), as for this match everything points to an low-scoring match anyway so a line of 2.75 or even 2.5 would be quite nice.

Autopsy of a Kakkonen match; Kiffen - KäPa

A typical Kakkonen match, one team is better on the first half and then after the break it is the other one´s turn. Yesterday it was KäPa who took on the driver´s seat, but then left the legs and brains in the changing room during the half-time break.

In the light of raw overall stats KäPa perhaps deserved to win, but as customary the latter half stays in mind longer and as Kiffen had a couple of really good chances late in the game it must feel like a steal.

I keep wondering why it is so hard for most teams to keep up the good work for the whole 90 minutes? I understand that it is possible to make tactical changes during the half-time and yesterday Kiffen managed to stop Spangar´s long passes to Penttinen in the second half which created a lot of havoc in the 1st half, or was it just down to KäPa themselves? Chicken or the egg?

Kiffen have already six 0-0 draws to show from this season, but the funny thing is that they are not specially defense-minded. They do defend ok, but they also make severe mistakes and KäPa had twice a 1-on-1 situation in the first half. Offensively they are a bit one-dimensional and the only thing that worked vs. KäPa was long balls to Fefe, who then with his personal skill could create some goal chances. The corners given by Oskari Partonen were dangerous as well, and though the history this season suggests them to be a very defensive 0-0 team I feel that the time for goalless draws for them is pretty much over.

The winning goal last night was scored by sub Hiillosvuo on 93rd minute and as mentioned at the time it felt undeserved, but in the light of the whole match it is justified, and an early goal for KäPa from the good goal-scoring chances would had killed the game early on.

The number of goal-scoring opportunities is only a number. More important is to know where they come from, can they be re-created and can they be stopped. What happens after the first goal? There are so many questions related to analyzing a football match that it is an impossible task to show all relative facts by data only.

HJK - Ekranas on Wednesday CL

The visitor´s goalkeeper is getting a better contract;

HJK have center-back Peter Magnusson sidelined due fever, but Sebastian Sorsa and Juho Mäkelä should be available.

Last year HJK failed against a similar type of opponent, Lithuanian club Vetra despite winning first away and taking the lead at home. They should have the material advantage and home advantage, but with a 1-0 away loss they can not concede any more goals and finding the correct balance between taking risks, creating chances and keeping the defence tight is the key today.

The winning goal at Lithuania was a defensive blunder by Magnusson as you can see from this Youtube video; the pitch was water-logged and an early goal dictated the nature of the game onwards.

The league match in between was a disaster, KuPS made fun of HJK who were too keen on thinking about this match. Ekranas might have a new signing in French center-back Yamadou Camara.

The winner will likely face Partizan Belgrad unless Puynik can recover from 3-1 away loss.

I will naturally be on the stadium myself, but no live information will be provided.

Asian odds at the moment HJK -1 @ 1.94, but I will relax with the football today, watch the match and hope for HJK to qualify. Not because I am a big fan of them, but it would bring another interesting european fixture to my home stadium.

Veikkausliiga early odds

HJK likely to drop a lot, whatever happens in their CL qualifier vs. Ekranas.

Kakkonen odds for Tuesday

I like one of them a lot, and another one is raising some interest. Because of the TPS players involved today the odds will probably stay or even rise for LoPa, and publishing my prediction here should do no harm.

Åbo IFK – LoPa

LoPa are the second best team in the group, Åbo IFK is a relegation candidate but will probably be helped enough TPS to survive as it would be important for the organization to keep a reserve team at this level. Today they will have Jani Virtanen, Santeri Mäkinen, Mikael Liespuu and Patrik Lomski, but none of them is really a regular starter at Veikkausliiga and Lomski has been also injured for a long time. At 2.20 I would gladly take LoPa, in my papers their winning chances are somewhere at 50 %. LoPa are not as good on their travels as they are at home, but the class difference here is very big. So far Åbo IFK have lost all matches against top-4 teams. Travel is no issue here, less than an hours drive.

Åbo by the way is the Swedish language name of Turku.

A couple of market moves - I see the market agreed with me here today, all we need now is KäPa and LoPa to deliver.

Finland Veikkausliiga and Ykkönen on Sunday

Veikkausliiga

Yesterday KuPS did themselves proud and made me looking foolish by backing a home team who never looked like they were going to win, never mind 2 goals or more. HJK line-up was ok, but mentally they were all absent. Superior performance by KuPS, and especially the star man Dickson Nwakaeme was on fire.

MIFK 0 @ 2.09 – Inter Turku 0 @ 1.83
MIFK are still without a home win in the league, which is pure madness. They were better side away at KuPS but came home only a point in the bag. Inter have been unreliable all season, but the league is still so even that a couple of win would bring almost all teams back to fight for at least european spots. Inter will start their EL qualification from the next round and they will face Belgian side Genk, last season they met Moldovan side Sheriff and gained nothing but experience. I have taken MIFK several times this season, and several times they have also led the matches comfortably and then let the oppositing team score a couple of goals, and personally I am not sure what to think of them, but they are not a bad side if they could get their heads up. Inter have several injuries again, and if I had not personally lost so many times with MIFK I would perhaps take them again, this time no bet for me, of course unless the odds take another unexpected rise.

In June MIFK won Inter 2-1 at home in the Cup.

Inter injured: Sanevuori, Osinachi, Grot, Nikkari, Furuholm and Gustafsson. Two players with Sinimustat but they are not going to make a big difference over there tonight, Monsalve and Felix Åkerlund.

MyPa + 0,5 @ 1.70 – Honka -0,5 @ 2.28
HJK´s loss last night might change the Honka approach as they could narrow down the lead in league to 4 points, but the priority for both teams here is Europa league. MyPa will progress very likely after the 3-0 home win against Andorran side, but Honka must be more concentrated in the away game at Wales which they are fully capable of winning, the home result 1-1 left a lot to wish for.

Both teams might be experimenting a lot, with the info at hand no bet. Honka have at least Simpanen, Hakanpää and Haarala injured.

Honka are the better team of these and usually have the edge, but if they keep on the chosen track they played vs. Bangor City they are winning no one and being ineffective has been their main problem this season also in other matches.

Edit: Both teams have best possible line-ups.

TPS -0,75 @ 2.00 – Haka 0,75 @ 1.92
There are unconfirmed rumours that Haka have already started selling their players, and if this is the case they are not likely to play for Haka anymore. The talk is about key men Hynynen and Innanen who are said to head to KuPS and JJK, and there might and will be more. TPS will rotate, but as they have not yet found a good permanent it could also be a good thing, and Haka is unthinkable at any odds. Looks like Innanen is still available.

Ykkönen

Hämeenlinna +0,25 @ 2.17 – PK35 -0,25 @ 1.77
Home side are a bad in bad form and yet to win a match at home, but even with their missing players Lehtimäki and Mäkelä they have chance for a good fight, and at that price I am not taking PK35 either. Lahti help unlikely for the hosts as Lahti have big injury problems of their own. The odds for PK35 are not specially good at the moment, and pretty much correctly set odds, with a an estimate of 50 % that would be good value, but I am not  sure that PK are quite that good, they show very poor performances every now and then when least expected and they have been a bit shy on their travels and away from their own artificial turf. Hämeenlinna home pitch was at least in the early season in a dangerous condition.

KPV -0,25 @ 2.14 – PoPa +0,25 @ 1.79

KPV have a lot of doubtful players and they have been forced to bring along some youngsters lately. There have been some 8 players from the home side at the physio´s treatment but at least some of them will be perhaps available to play, PoPa have no injury worries. PoPa are in good form and firing a few brazilians seem to have helped them perform. KPV have lost once at home – 1-2 vs Espoo - , and in addition to poor MP and JIPPO wins PoPa have won only KooTeePee on their travels. Tough to say, but if there are a lot of missing players from this list Jukka Hakala, Tom Melarti, Niko Kalliokoski, Aki Lyyski, Tommi Halonen, Tarmo Koivuranta, Aki Sipilä, Tuomo Paavolainen to be seen at the website nearer the kick-off then PoPa is definitely value.

MP +0,25 @ 2.01 – OPS -0,25 @ 1.91

At first glance the odds for OPS look tempting; MP have lost their latest 8 including the one after the manager chance 4-0 away at TPV. There are two new brazilian signings for MP available in this match, but I do not see any light for MP at the moment, and as OPS are in good form lately despite meeting the top teams the away win must be taken at -0,25 @ 1.91

I was trying to think back when there has last time been a good signing in the middle of the season and came out with nothing.

Viikingit 0 @ 2.17 – RoPS 0 @ 1.77

A top match! Viikingit were not any better than Espoo in the midweek match, but they do not have the habit of losing at home and the latest home loss was vs. KPV on May 2nd. RoPS have the habit of losing nowhere and the handicap is probably correctly set. RoPS have reportedly earned every point they have, and by winning this they could basically declare themselves as promoted already, at the moment the lead is 9 points. I feel there is a bigger chance than usually for a draw as it would probably suit the visitors nicely. RoPS have scored 37 goals in 12 matches vs 18 by Viikingit, and as their defence seems to be well-organized as well they must be favourites. Viikingit did very well against Klubi04 a few rounds ago, but Espoo showed Viikingit  to be just a typical Ykkönen side who have not enough quality for the danger area. To be honest I am tempted to go for RoPS, and with an estimate of 40 % it is almost value, but are they worth 38 or 42 % or more? RoPS have stayed overnight en route – like KuPS yesterday – and have no bus legs. A thunder storm is also very likely to burst out, but nevertheless this is my choice of live action tonight.

Edit: RoPS 0 @ 1.94 looked decent value! Another strange market movement.

17.7.2010

HJK - KUPS preview

FT 1-2. The better team won deservedly. HJK line-up was pretty much the best available, but mentally they were not there and KuPS looked far more comfortable in the match from the start. Dickson Nwakaeme showed that he deserves a chance in a good professional team, and it must be just a matter a days when his contract gets published.

HJK – KuPS

As I write there is no certainty of HJK line-up, but there are some changes for sure. The player material is however large enough that it does not necessarily mean that that starting 11 is any weaker than usual, but of course key players like Medo and Rafinha would be of big importance. Without Medo (suspended for 2 matches)  HJK won both matches, but with a  poorer performance than usual.

KuPS are without two important players  mf Ollo and  striker Venäläinen. The ever-present question regarding KuPS is Dickson, and he has returned from Nigeria and is probably taking some part in tonight´s match, his eyes are set to a future transfer.

HJK have been unstoppable in the league, and the stats of the latest 10 home games would  provide info why not back KuPS here - 3-3-3-3-3-3-3-1-3-1 – but also in most matches HJK have been strongly on the driver´seat, and all the points are fully deserved. In fact also one of the draws – Haka of course – is  morally a win as Haka were completely destroyed on the pitch but somehow hung on to a draw. Only FC Lahti have given a good match at Finnair Stadium so far.

The Champions League ql match on Wednesday is however the priority. Last season HJK faced another Lithuanian team in the first round, won the first leg away, took the lead in the home leg early on, and managed to lose very embarrassingly then and became the laughing stock of everyone. They had made the mistake of looking too much ahead, and started booking tickets to London for the following round´s fixture vs. Fulham. It is obvious that they are not going to make the same mistake again, and this time the there is no Fulham awaiting either, it will be either Partizan or Puynik. The good news from the Lithuanian trip is that Ekranas are a team that should be beaten with a normal performance.

KuPS really deserved nothing out of their last match vs. MIFK on Monday, and it was only fair that they did miss the 90th minute penalty.

KuPS have reasonably good stats from their away games, but then again, they have faced Jaro, Haka, MyPa, JJK, Oulu, and for example the latest away win 0-1 at Jaro was against the run of the play. After they have met also the top teams away the stats are not going to look that rosy.

What to do then? Backing a big favourite is a bit boring and unimaginative option and the CL – match ahead is a bit of a questionmark, but looking at the pure class and home advantage HJK are likely to win, and I take HJK-1 @ 1.90 here. Last week´s home performance vs TamU in the 3-1 home win was the best so far this season.

Home odds have been rising all day, and obviously the market are expecting either too much from KuPS or some extremely heavy rotation here, which is not likely.

Line-ups:

HJK: Wallen, Medo, Fowler, Rafinha, Kärkkäinen, Westö, Pelvas, Bah, Ojala, Sumusalo, Zeneli

KuPS: Vilmunen, Hoiopainen, Udah, Taipale, Balogh, Williams, Oravainen, Nykänen, Ilo, Hoivala, Dickson

Jaro tonight

Edit: FT 2-0.

FF Jaro -0,5 @ 1.91 - FC Lahti 0,5 @ 2.01 (morning price) – > gone up a bit but will fall soon
I had kept some faith for FC Lahti until last week as they had been one of the most unluckiest team of the league regarding missed goals and receiving injuries, but now also their over all performances have deteriorated and they have been hit by another injury crisis.

Today FC Lahti will miss 8 players, and getting defender Tatu Mäkelä from FC Hämeenlinna on loan for this match increases the amount of players available to 13 + 2 goalies,1st choice gk has been unreliable as well.

Haara, Moilanen, Huuhka, Vanninen, Litmanen, Eerola, Köse and Fofana will miss the match at Pietarsaari today and the starting -11 of Lahti is streched to the limit.

I know I do not fully share the optimism at Jaro camp though I have been delighted by their style and strength. They have been better than expected also without the key man Eremenko Jr, but when he is on the pitch and on the right mood he is by far the best player in league, and his presence and skill are enough to create chances to win a game.

Last week´s winning goal away at Oulu was scored by Sebastian Mannström who officially would miss that match due injury, and for tonight there are injuries for Jani Bäckman, Jani Sarajärvi and Petter Meyer, Thomas Kula is suspended.

It is not a sure home win however. The league stats have been bizarre this season, and FC Lahti have not yet lost on their travels. Jaro have lost twice in a row against KuPS and JJK who are basically not remarkably any better teams than FC Lahti is at their best, and Jaro´s latest win is according to the reports a fluke, they had only a couple of chances and robbed an undeserved win from AC Oulu.

Jaro themselves have only won once at home, and even that was the 3-2 derby win over VPS, so this is another pair who know nothing about home advantage. Jaro have failed several times when a lot has been expected from them, and I still see their goalie as worst of the league and prone to big mistakes.

Lahti have conceded a lot of goals lately, without Litmanen they have been unimaginative, there are practically no substitutes or alternatives available from the bench and even the trip is a bit of of handicap under this continuous heat, but if the Jaro odds keep on dropping towards kick-off it is just the team news that are talking, they make Jaro a bigger favourite than expected but not a sure winner.

The first encounter was played in Lahti while it was snowing, this time around at least the weather has changed.

Odds are likely to move a lot today, not much action going on in the betting market and this match will be studied and the injury situation will be published. Jaro is not probably available later today with value odds.

FC Lahti squad available for tonight; not much to choose from

Jaro -0,75 @ 2.03

I took Jaro -0.75 @ 2.17 earlier as I was sure it would drop sooner or later, but the market have reacted to the news so far the other way round it went as high as 2.29, there is someone again betting a strange team.

***

Tomorrow one match in the league, HJK – KuPS but more about it tomorrow along with other matches around 13.00 CET. As usual what ever the starting price for HJK will be it is always a subject to drop towards kick-off, but their latest home performance vs. TamU was said to be the best so far this season so they are obviously in form, KuPS should had lost vs. MIFK.

HJK -1.25 @ 1.92 available at the moment, they will probably rotate as much as possible and on paper the handicap and price look about all right, I am not taking it at least not yet and there is a slight chance the odds will rise because of KuPS standings in the table and HJK´s big CL fixture ahead. I took already TPS @ 1.80 on Sunday vs. Haka. They will rotate too because of European competition, but Haka has also run out of luck of lately and should be opposed.

MyPa and Honka are both in european competition and I do not want to guess who they are fielding, MIFK host Inter Turku and it is another difficult match to predict, but more about them later.

Gnistan - Atlantis 4-1, A Woody show

Did not see the match as I was watching Honka - Bangor City, but looks like Samuel Woodward had one of his better match days, 4 goals between 46th and 76th minute helped Gnistan overcome Atlantis 0-1 ht lead.

European league ql

Highlights;

Edit: Honka totally ashamed themselves tonight. On the first half they won goal chances 12 - 0 and even missed a penalty, but in a 1-0 lead the second half and leg looked like a formality. Then after their own corner they stumbled in the middle circle and let Bangor guy one - on - one with the goalie and he did not missed. After that Honka got really nervous and shot a lot, but almost all of them were off target.

Bangor City would had struggled with Ykkönen or even Kakkonen teams tonight, but now they have a chance to qualify, Honka are still big favourites if they bother to perform. TPS won their Welsh opponent away 0-4 and I would not count that out.

Odds on TPS away at Cercle Brugge have dropped for more than a handicap and it is at the moment +0,75 @ 2 when it started from +1. It is discussed for example at Bettingadvice.com.
There seem to be missing players from the home side and the match is played at Gent, but having seen TPS perform this season I rather hope for the best for them in order to get more European games here, but spend no money for bets.

Honka still at -2 @ 1.92 which is more or less right, but keeping in mind last season´s match against the same team Bangor it looks like that it will be a push at worst.

MyPa - 3.25 @ 2 has risen slightly, MyPa will score something between 0 and 6 goals but are not a team I am ever comfortable with.

Edit: FT MyPa have won 3-0, and failed with the handicap -3.25 as well.

HJK lost last night 1-0 at Lithuanian Ekranas, next leg at home next Wednesday.

Newsletter feedback

I have received direct feedback through email regarding my service from an obviously disappointed customer.

As translated it says pretty much that I should explain myself why I have taken a certain bet or only a bunchful of bets during a day when it could had been understood in Newsletter that there are more value bets available.

A dilemma this is which I have explained from the start. The odds move during the day. There is more or less info coming after the Newsletter is sent and finding the balance when there is enough info to make the decision is the core problem. I have tried to say that my own stats here can not represent the reality of the customers, my own picks often drop the odds a bit, and then become unavailable. Sometimes they rise again, and finding the reasons behind is very challenging. I have tried to optimize the amount of good bets for me and for the customers, and I can guarantee it is a challenge!

To give you an example of what makes this problematic; today I did suggest  as my own pick Atlantis +0,5 @ 1.87, but as I was waiting for the time to publish the Newsletter I did not even get it myself. It could happen that it rises again back to that level, some of the customers may take it and if the bet loses they lose - and I have no bet in my own stats. On the other hand, if I take it myself early then it would had been even more likely that the price drops, and my options would be to suggest it at 1.82, or publish no suggestion at all. For the record, there will be no Atlantis bet in my stats for today, regardless the outcome, because I do not have it with real money and keeping virtual stats would be fooling everyone. I might also take some other bet after big market moves, or if I receive new info - or for any other reason.

Therefore it is guaranteed that my stats would not be the same than any of yours, but I keep on fighting to give you the best possible information while at the same time trying to profitable with my own bets. It is not too much to ask I suppose?

This has been an interesting and educating process - a project actually - a learning experience as i have tried to study the market movements in depth, the reasons, the mecanism, the timing, the money involved and needed to drop the odds.

The process is not finished, it is more like a start. A beginning. Naturally, if this particular customer - "E" - here fulfils his threat to "give max. effort to destroy the service" then I have to find a new form to it.

Any feedback is naturally welcome here as well, unedited. The forum is all yours.

Ekranas - HJK stream

Perhaps available here;

FT 1-0. The pitch seemed to be water-logged.

Very even and low-scoring match to be expected.
HJK tonight:

Rafinha
Peter Magnusson
Juhani Ojala
Tuomas Kansikas
Sebastian Sorsa
Aki Riihilahti

Kakkonen odds for Wednesday

Some odds, there will be some movements for sure!
Edit: KäPa +0,5  now @ 1.44, then there is YPA -0,25 @ 2.51 when local bookie offer only 2.00 for straight win.. interesting. Pallohonka dropped as expected, but nothing as dramatic as those two.

Today I will give up my own football shoes and my ball

There is a guy doing charity for the kids in Malawi here at Helsinki Cup 2010, he collects balls and other football gear for them and then transports the whole lot into Africa.

It is pretty much about time for me to give up outdoors football - atually I have done it already years ago - and get rid of all unnecessary stuff for kids who need it more than I do.

These fellows in the pictures are from The Shirt - a project to raise awareness for the refugee situation in Africa - but it will do nicely to show that there are always people in bigger need than us, and I am not talking about only football here.

Good bye shoes, hope you find a good home.

Newsletter on Tuesday

will provide live betting info for Women´s league match FC Honka - TiPS.

It will be a test run of how to deal with the mail with the phone, it is too hot and sunny to take the laptop with me into the stadion.

Currently Honka is offered at -1.75 @ 1.64 and total line is at 3.75.

Edit: FT 5-2, but the last Honka goal was scored at 90th minute and it looked more like 4-3 before that. -1.75 for Honka was a correct line, but the price was too short.

It looked like an over 3.75 match - at least after the first goal on 21st minute, until then I was pretty much undecided.

A lot of action, as always: And there will be no matches with big handicaps as the matches are surprisingly even. Pallo-Iirot and Ilves are the biggest favourites, but in many cases there are not even 50 % favs!

KuPS - MIFK

FT 0-0. MIFK deserved a win by their second half performance, but were lucky in the end not to concede a goal from penalty at 93rd minute, it was saved by gk Ochieng. He injured himself slightly, and the corner that was given to KuPS was fortunately shot by gentleman player of the week Miikka Turunen who  just gave the ball away to the visitors on the last moments of the extra time because he did not think MIFK gk was yet ready.

The more I think about this, the more it looks like an away win, took some MIFK -1 with european handicap ;)

Haka - JJK line-ups for 17.30 CET stream

FT 1-2. Missed most of the match as I was otherwise engaged, but it was said that JJK were wiser.

10 min JJK corner, nothing comes out of it and I will give this match a miss and choose gazpacho and wine on the balcony. Enjoy the game!
8 min Haka free-kick, I would had missed Nam if I were a Haka supporter. Awful shot by Hynynen.
5 min, not much has happened, odds are going JJK´s way.

3 min, Haka shot but that was poor one by Santala. A slow game to be expected in the heat.

Kick-off. Both the sound and picture are so bad at least on my computer  that I am not sure I care to bother for a long time with this.

"Last time we visited Haka it was more than -20 C cold, now it is over + 30 C ", said Kari Martonen, JJK

Have have also Mattila scheduled to play, in the preview he was told to be definitely unavailable.

Odds @ 0 ; 1.91 - 2.01. --> Haka 0 @ 1.95 now.

Updated line-ups; Haka´s Innanen is not there, instead there is Mohamed Koroma and personally I do not know who the hell he is, someone mentioned TPV..
