Honka - Haka at 12.15 CET. Home odds -1,5 @ 1.80

Finnish preview
Honka miss Haarala, Koskinen, Vasara, Schuller, Peltonen and Väyrynen but do have test 2 test players at mf & df.  Haka without important midfielder Juha Pirinen. In December friendly  Honka - Haka the result was 1-2 (1-0) but that is rather unlikely to repeat.
Edit: 4-2 (0-1) At the beginning of the 2nd half it looked for a moment that Haka might make another surprise when Sihvola scored from a penalty 0-2, but it turned out just fine in the end.

AC Oulu - JJK 13.00 CET. Home odds +0 @ 2.12
Finnish preview
JJK preview

Oulu did not get the league license because of economical uncertainties and unless their complaint is accepted their story might be over. However "the atmosphere among players is good", yeah, right.
FT 1-1 (0-1) Young Ojala equalized on 90th minute. Report

FF Jaro - VPS 15.00 CET home odds -0,5 @ 1.81
Finnish preview

Derbyish encounter between teams both ranked in the bottom half. Jaro´s 4-0 win over Oulu shows in the odds, but Eremenko Sr as Jaro´s coach has obviously done excellent job again with the team and deserve to be respected.
FT 2-2  This time the late equalizer was Laaksonen for VPS. Report

League Cup goes on today in Finland

Inter - MIFK at 14.00 CET with following line-ups and odds: edit FT 1-0 (0-0)

Inter: 1 Bahne, 2 Mäntylä, 3 El Gourari, 7 Nyman, 8 Osinachi, 14 Aho, 15 Paajanen, 17 Ojala, 22 Sanevuori, 23 Nikkari, 24 Kauko.

Subs: 13 Reponen, 16 Kauppi, 21 Duah, 29 Lehtonen, 30 Espinosa, 31 Abramovic

IFK Mariehamn: 13 Wicks, 5 De Abreu, 6 Olofsson, 8 Strandvall, 10 Bellisomo, 11 Lehtinen, 14 Paatelainen Ma, 17 Trafford, 23 Funicello, 26 Ingves, 30 Helmke.

Subs: 29 Långbacka, 7 Matsson, 16 Wickström, 21 Sundman, 28 Paatelainen Mi.

Inter -0,5 @ 1.78 available but i am not at all sure goal-scoring problems are solved with this line-up with Furuholm once again injured and another potential scorer Abramovis starts from the bench, totals evenish and under 2.5 @ 2.00 looks like a bit of value. Underlined players on test. On IFK´s side De Abreu and Lehtinen are new faces, and Markus Paatelainen starts instead of his brother Mikko.

31.1.2011

HJK-Honka today in the league cup CET 16.00

Edit: FT 1-1 (0-0) HJK were the better team but good enough to win.

Odds are so well set that nothing raises much interest. Both know each other well, have a wide material, will make a few experiments and nothing official regarding the line-ups will not be published until about an hour prior to the kick-off.

HJK -0,25 @ 1.77 -- Honka +0,25 @ 2.17 and total line at 2.75 makes sense in the light of the latest results - though if forced I would go for an under as this is a match neither wants to lose. A big game in this league cup/pre-season context. HJK with their best line-up are closer to being value here, and they also signed another good striker into the team - Berat Sadik.

HJK in the Uusi Lahti Cup was not "HJK" but a reserve team and there is no match tiredness. There were a few first team players in the first match on Friday but basically it means nothing else  than they are more likely to start from the bench or play only the first half.

Still a few injuries at Honka camp (Schuller and Vasara mostly missed), last week they also had Pauli Kuusijärvi from FC Espoo in their starting line-up.

Preview from the league will be here at some point - look for "ENN" in green and from that there should be a link to the "official livescore". :)

Have a nice day!
