Even very low quality 5th-6th division cup games are available for betting at 365 which is plain crazy as they are not footballers by any standards, but who am I to complain?
This weekend on Friday and Saturday there is a small 4-team tournament scheduled in Pori. In addition to the host team Jazz there is FC Lahti, Ilves and reigning champions SJK.
Most - if not all - Veikkausliiga clubs have started their preseason more or less this or last week and they do not rush into transfer markets as there are no official matches for a few months time. There are test players a lot in all clubs at this point of the season, and there will be a plenty of matches where the results tell nothing or it is misleading for other reasons. The matches can be predictable after seeing the lineups, but one thing is for sure - last season standings is the last place to start analyzing the match.
There will be some proper team news possibly available at some point, and I may forward them here if the time is right. Probably not though as there is not much point from my point of view and there will be heavy rotation and substitutions anyway.
There has demand from the bookies to cover this but so far only Bet365 offer something, and referring to the text above it is honestly impossible to say whether they make sense or not.
SJK vs Lahti would at first glance be SJK as favourites because they are the title holders, but as the first team of SJK will meet Al Hilal at the same time in Saudi Arabia this is not SJK. Even Bet365 have named them as SJK XI. Reserves and test players but at the moments no players have been named. --> Lahti is priced at 1.57, which would be huge value in case they would field their best starting 11.
However they will not. There are 8 young test players at Lahti, and their preview mentions that they field their best possible 11 on Saturday 's match only. Who play vs SJK is unknown, but now the 1.57 is a lot more unappealing, isnt it?
This is just an example. There will a lot more matches like this in the near future so do not get shocked if you see ridiculous results this preseason. Or ridiculous odds, someone always tends to more about these. Or not.

PS I almost forgot: there will again be dozens of matches will be short of 90 minutes as they are played indoors and indoor time is a rare commodity this is often a problem, especially at Kakkonen friendlies.
