The odds are out. One match has been played so far in this competition - the visitors of today won Haka 4-0 (2-0) at home last Tuesday.
Honka have played 3 friendlies at home this season so far, PK35 2-1, Haka 1-2 and JJK 8-1. Both teams have changed quite a lot since last season, but whereas Honka are mostly promoting their own reserves and youngsters MIFK are forced to look overseas and are testing foreign players.
According to Honka web site there are 5 new players in the starting line-up compared to Honka last season. What they do not mention is who these players are. On the injury list there are at least Gk Peltonen, mf Schuller, mf Vasara. The coach Lehkosuo says also that " one player will start at a new position", but obviously enjoys being secretive. It could be Aalto as a center defender, Savage as a striker, Haarala as a mf or almost anything else. Will see.
They might start with something like this, or not.
|Demba Savage||Jaakko Lepola|
|Ilari Äijälä||Lum Rexhepi||Henri Aalto||Hannu Haarala|
MIFK had two test players vs. Haka, today they might introduce a former league top scorer Toni Lehtinen. They will miss mf Forsell due knee injury and perhaps other players too, but there is not much information coming from that direction. Another mf Markus Paatelainen is likely to miss the match.
MIFK started with these players vs. Haka and might stay relatively unchanged, Lehtinen will take the starting striker´s role instead of Ingves.
IFK: Wicks Josh, Olofsson Marcus, Strandvall Sebastian, Bellisomo Luca, Trafford Mason, Nordström Johannes, Okodugha Echiabhi, Funicello Giuseppe, Ingves Wilhelm, Paatelainen Mikko, Helmke Hendrik
Match is played indoors, and with a very limited capacity for public and getting in is always a struggle as they take the safety regulations very seriously.Hope I get in myself.
