Long wait is over - Kakkonen 2012 will kick-off on Wednesday!

Updated tables and fixtures can be found at soccerway but in short the biggest changes since 2011. Changes are inevitable here, the system, the clubs, everything is subject to change.

2011 it was 3 groups of 14, 2012 will be 4 groups of 10. Geographically divided if possible. In the North the distances are still long to cover.

2011 one club - SJK - won promotion. 2012 there will be 2, the 4 group winners will be play-offs. Unless the system changes of course.

2012 probably bottom 2 in each group will be relegated, 2011 it was different and  but can not explain it in more detail.

2012 there are several clubs who did not win the promotion but got there accidentally by cabinet decisions; Jämsänkosken Ilves, Härmä from Hämeenlinna and PK-35/VJS might not belong there. Or maybe they do?

2012 these clubs work as academies or reserves to higher level clubs:

Klubi04 -->     HJK
Pallohonka - > Honka
Åbo IFK     ->TPS

PK-35/VJS --> PK-35. Guess you got it yourself.
