VPS - Haka preview

VPS - Haka

Well guys. This is not on top of my love list. The h-2-h late history tells us that the latest 9 matches between them have been unders, and only one of them has scored in the game, or neither. Stats lie, the sample size is small and I did choose very carefully the point where I cut it, but it pretty much reflects my thoughts and the public opinion of this match. The one who scores, wins.

We have discussed Haka goals earlier, their 8 first goals were all from set pieces, Nam is dangerous from a 20-metres distance and the center-back Parviainen has scored from a few corners, but that is how far they usually get. Not inside the box, not in open play. The ninth goal of the season was a Santala header from open play, but at that point they were leading the match and there was more room for Haka strikers.

VPS are also very far from being glamorous, they did get an away point from Honka with a goalless draw, but it looked more like a 4-0 match than 0-0. They were lucky and the Korean keeper Kwon played a superb match. There are however sometimes very good moments and elements in VPS games, but they do not usually last throughout the game.

Both clubs have also Cup to worry about, VPS are looking for a miracle away at HJK and Haka will host KuPS.

From the news front Haka´s out-of-favour striker Niko Ikävalko is injured, but not missed. Yllaconza doubtful but unimportant, also gk Janne have some minor injuries and is doubtful, and he has been the backbone of the team so far.

Unfortunately the odds have moved favouring Haka and the early limits show a bit value in VPS 0 @ 2.04, but I want a lot bigger margin for a game like this, probably a better option would be looking for 0-0 or both teams not to score, and the best one perhaps not to bet at all.

I will not watch this live, my time is too limited for that, in the worst case scenario this is dull even when fast forwared at 8 times speed.

Under is not really option either, the bookies know the name of game as well as we do and there are no gifts.

In the name of football I hope for an early goal and a goal-fest after that.
