Haka owner about to quit financing the club

(pic from Helsingin Sanomat)

The entrepreneur Sedu Koskinen who is often playfully called as a Discokääpiö (A disco midget) at football forums because of his disco business and a shortish stature is running out of money, nerves, knowledge, professional view, patience or all of them, and is saying that he is no longer going to finance the club.

It is no surprise really that the club is facing difficulties. They were going under at 2008 when Sedu took over, (and  "saved" the club) and there were several people expressing their worries as he was  known of being a harsh business man, not a football general manager despite his background as a Haka player several decades ago.

Under his reign Koskinen has fired professional staff and replaced them with unexperiended people who seem to be bring him a feel good - factor, like is the case of the manager Sami Ristilä, " when I first met him I sensed that he wanted to be a winner, and he has charisma which is important for a manager. The fact that he had no experience is only a positive thing", he wrote on his blog at Haka website.

At 2010 Haka have huge debts´s to - guess who - Sedu Koskinen, and as I write the future of the club is unclear, but very worrying.

It could very well be that Haka players will be freed from their contracts and will start looking for new clubs at the first of August or it could be something else but one fact remains,

Sedu, you failed big time.

Good luck with serving beer and stay away from football now, please.
