First friendly games of the season 2009 have already been played!

I have personally been watching and analysing the first two games of the last season´s runner-up FC Honka and here is a short summary of the games.

12-12-2008 Fc Honka - JJK 1-0 at Esport Arena (indoors)

Fc Honka has by far the largest material of all teams at the moment with over 20 useful players in their roster and it shows in these games so that during half-time all the players were substituted. However, the quality of the team stayed as it was. Honka was better all over the pitch and the correct score should had been around 4 to 0. Easy win against the newly promoted team from Jyväskylä. A historical moment for the visitors too, first time in the Veikkausliiga, though the match was only a friendly.


19-12-2008 Fc Honka - Fc Lahti 4-0 at Esport Arena (indoors)

The visitors were third in the league 2008 and you would not except anything like this - unless you knew that they played almost entirely without the guys who already had established themselves in the league. Only test players and under 21 players were wearing the wine-colored shirts of Lahti. That said, we can forget that this game never took place and try not to let it confuse us and include it in any history. Not to mention to make any conclusions.

It is true however that Fc Honka plays very well at the moment and they are the biggest favourite to win the title 2009.
