Money, that is what they want

I want money too and it looks like not being a professional football player after all in Finland is not such a bad miss.

According to recent studies and budgets of the Veikkausliiga clubs I am able to share with you some facts which are sad but true.

A good football player in Finland earns roughly 50 000 euros a year. There was no zeros missing. Fifty thousand.

Somewhere else it is a decent sum of money but here it is just about enough to survive the daily life. Ok, maybe it is about the double or a third more that the average income, but there are no pensions waiting. No career after retirement. No glory, no fame, just bad knees.

No wonder everyone who just is good enough wants a transfer badly. Or another profession if they are not. Even Toni Lehtinen from Fc Haka who does not really fit into my description of a good footballer is said to earn to 80 000 a year in Greece.

The budget´s of the clubs range from 6 million to 1 million so Cristiano Ronaldo, if you fancy buying a club, please come here and take your pick. At the moment my recommendation with the price/quality ratio in mind would be Fc Honka.
