Traditional teams!

The Veikkausliiga as it is today was grounded 1990 and teams in the 14 team League are below (table from wikipedia in Finnish);

While talking about tradition let´s check what were the first "original" 12 teams 1990 and how they are doing now.

Kuusysi was the champion then and for several years to come. Due to economical and other turmoils the club has no team anymore except with juniors under 20 years of age but a team called City Stars is following their footsteps and did get relegated to div III after season 2008. Unluckily and unfair but what can you do?

RoPS (2.), KuPS (3.) HJK (4.) TPS (6.) and Haka (8.) are still playing in Veikkausliiga but the rest of the teams of 1990 have either disappeared completely or been relegated to lower divisions. Reipas, Ilves, KPV, OTP, MP and Kumu, once they were warriors.
