In most countries this is exactly the case but here in the land where the polar bears roam the streets the national game is unfortunately hockey on ice.
Ice hockey, of all games! Violence on ice! Hockey fighting! It is hard to love if you are into the chess of the grass, the game of the kings.
The image of football is somewhat grim. The players, managers and clubs are not that well appreciated. All clubs do not yet have stadiums designed for football, nor enough facilities, lights or a fan culture.
There is something bubbling under however. There are some pioneers in most of the cities where football is played and are ready to improve the status and make the changes needed.
Eventually everything will get better. Not today, hopefully tomorrow?
